Jewelweed, also known as touch me not, is a plant that grows wild in Missouri. The small seed pods, when touched, actually burst open, throwing the seed for quite a distance. This plant has been used successfully for years to help clear up poison ivy. We have been wildcraft harvesting and extracting it for a few years as well as making soap with the extract. The extract comes in a convenient spray top bottle. If kept refrigerated it will stay active for up to two years. For best results, the area of rash should be washed with the jewelweed soap and then followed by applying the extract. -Be sure and check out our Jewelweed soap that not only contains jewelweed but also Tea Tree oil (antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal), calendula and geranium.
